ACT Fest was first hosted in Winnipeg in 1979 and since then it has been hosted in 11 other communities throughout Manitoba. Vagabond Theatre Company hosted the festival in 2008. The Vagabond Theatre Company is excited to be hosting this event again.

The Festival is a full, exciting weekend that allows Community Theatre groups from around Manitoba to come together to share their theatrical art and join in the camaraderie. The weekend begins Friday night with a Vagabond Theatre production, followed by a wine and cheese reception.
Saturday is a full day of ACT Group performances, followed by a banquet and Improv fun in the evening. Performances continue Sunday till we are all acted out.

Each performance is adjudicated by three theatre professionals with the option of a private workshop with an adjudicator during the weekend.
