The following is a brief synopsis of coverage provided by our insurer. For specific details, please see the coverage policies above or contact the insurer directly

Groups are encouraged to make an inventory/cost list of materials/properties held by the group in order to facilitate any potential claims. Photographs of holdings may also be beneficial.

Liability Insurance - $2,000,000 per occurrence limit - Deductible $1,000

Liability Insurance is designed to offer specific protection against third party claims for damage or injury.

This type of insurance would cover your organization if a member of the general public/audience is injured from the negligence of the theatre group. For example, if the general public/audience trips over a loose cord and injures themselves, the policy will cover the incident.
The liability policy does not cover injury to members of the theatre group.

Tenants Legal Liability Insurance - $250,000 limit (any one premises)

When a theatre group rents a space or has care, custody and control of a space, the Tenants Legal Liability Insurance covers physical loss or property damage.

Medical Expense - Limit $25,000 (any one person)

Provides coverage for medical costs if you unintentionally injure another person or if they are accidentally injured on your premises. You do not need to be found liable to make a claim under this coverage, but limits apply.

Miscellaneous Equipment and Theatrical Property Floater - $200,000 Aggregate Limit - $1,000 Deductible

Covers owned props, materials, equipment etc. and includes coverage for loss/damage while in transit to a production location. Losses by Fire are not covered.
E.G. Flats, large/small props, cameras, camera equipment, sound and lighting equipment, communications equipment, portable electrical equipment, editing and projection equipment, and all similar personal property

The property covered by insurance is quite comprehensive; as such we list what is NOT COVERED
